Soca Greetings from
Caribbean Prestige Foundation for the Performing
Arts, as you are probably already well aware, on
Friday 20th February, 2009, (Fantastic Friday) the
Foundation will host the biggest show in Carnival;
the BMobile International Soca Monarch Competition
and the Play Whe Groovy Soca Monarch Competition. In
keeping with our commitment to continually
contribute to improvements in the Caribbean cultural
industry, this Fantastic Friday promises to be the
best to date. We appreciate that a large and wide
ranging cross section of media is desirous of
covering this soca music extravaganza. The
Foundation takes this opportunity to outline the
media accreditation process.
Caribbean Prestige Foundation for the Performing
Arts aims at granting maximum possible access to the
press. There are however mitigating factors which we
must consider in the interest of safety, security
and comfort of all persons. The issue at hand is
which media persons will be granted access to the
relevant areas within the venue. In coming to a
decision regarding this issue we will consider, the
media type, the audience range of the media, the
reputation of the press person and the media house
being represented, use of media coverage and the
willingness of the press person/media house to abide
by Caribbean Prestige Foundation stipulations. The
Foundation assumes all persons seeking permission
for electronic coverage of any kind have already
received clearance from the Copyright Organisation
of Trinidad and Tobago.
ALL media personnel wishing to cover the event must
complete the relevant Application Form and submit it
to Caribbean Prestige Foundation offices by noon,
Thursday 19th February, 2009.
Caribbean Prestige Foundation for the Performing
Arts is eager to facilitate a seamless inclusion of
the media in the International Soca Monarch
competition on Fantastic Friday and we look forward
to receiving the relevant correspondence from you
within the specified time.
