“That the Soca art form will stand proudly among other World music forms satisfying millions of music lovers and students of the arts worldwide with its insight-fullness and unique rhythmical patterns”.

Caribbean Prestige Foundation for the Performing Arts is a non-profit organization which began operations in September 2002 as a vehicle for satisfying a need in the performing art community with special interest in the Soca genre.
The Foundation is a non-profit organization run by a board of directors with board members under its directive. The Caribbean Prestige Foundation for the Performing Arts was established to develop the Soca industry with particular emphasis on nurturing the talent of young Soca artistes and promoting the genre unto the international stage, through hosting world class Soca events. The foundation’s board approaches this task by establishing priorities through consultation and research.
In order to achieve the advantage it is essential that this art form be organized to deliver consistently the results from authentic cultural expressions and the professionalism in sustaining performance standards.
Therefore it was through concerted efforts that the National Soca Monarch Competition was brought into existence. The dream was to produce a competition with an international feel in its presentation and to enable Soca artistes to be presented in the most creative and attractive manner.
The International Soca Monarch has become an annual source of pride to many Trinidad and Tobago citizens.
